1U and 2U riser card special notes

MB PCI/AGP Slot positions: They may vary on different motherboards.

Position A: normally it's AGP, 6.4" away from the Keyboard connector edge.

Position B: normally it's 1st PCI, 7.2" away from the Keyboard connector edge.

Position C: normally it's 2nd PCI slot.

Position D: normally it's 3rd PCI slot.

  • RM-101: 1U case comes with a riser card that will plug into position B PCI slot.                                                                     *Option: If your MB dose not have a PCI slot in B position, then you may use riser card with ribbon cable which allows you to plug the riser into position C slot.

 

  • RM-295/RM-298(RM-298R):Current model is new model coming with one 3-PCI-slot riser which normally plugs into position B PCI slot on MB.                                                                              *Option 1: If your MB needs to use AGP VGA card, then you have to use the 2xPCI+1xAGP combo riser card. This riser will plug into both AGP (position A) and 1st PCI (positon B) slots in order to work.   *Option 2: If your MB's 1st PCI slot is in position C, then you need to get the 3-PCI-slot riser with ribbon.
